Welcome to the Dreams Fulfillment Foundation, a 501(c)3, nonprofit organization that assist orphans and destitute children in Africa obtain basic education by providing free tuition assistance, books and educational supplies. Dreams Fulfillment Foundation ultimate goal is to help African children more broadly, but to start out; DFF is partnering with two schools and orphanages in Liberia and is in preparation to start similar programs in the West Africa nation of Sierra Leone. Dreams Fulfillment Foundation was founded in July 2008 by G. Lloyd Duncan, Ebo Biney, Mariah Rogers and Christiana Coker.
The idea was planted in the heart of G. Lloyd Duncan in 2001 when he migrated to the United States of America however; it is a venture of college students with a purpose to make a difference educationally in the lives of destitute children in Africa. It all started few years ago when G. Lloyd Duncan, read a report on primary education and literacy in Liberia. It was estimated that more than 60% of children of school going age were out of school in Liberia. It was also stated that the country’s illiteracy rate is above 60%. With this statistics, the current unemployment rate which is 75% and a host of other reasons, he felt the urge to do something that would help his struggling brothers and sisters in Liberia. At the same time, he did not want to limit his help to children in Liberia alone. I think most people will agree that the current scenario in Liberia is representative of many countries in the world especially on the continent of Africa. We believe there are lots of children in Africa with great potentials to excel if an opportunity arises. Hence, Dreams Fulfillment Foundation is where educational dreams come true.
